Making Moves

So after a couple of years of bouncing around the country and a couple stints abroad, I am finally embarking on a journey that will leave me stationary for two full years. I haven't lived in one place for over a year since I was in high school, so I'm looking forward to having some stability.

The past two years have taken me from Kenya, to Connecticut, to China, Washington D.C., and finally to Brooklyn, and I have certainly had a great time. Today was my official last day of work at the food truck where I've been working in NYC since the fall, and unfortunately I had to miss it. A bit of an upset stomach led to a torn esophagus, and so I sadly had to sit my last shift out.

Working on the food truck was a very fun and interesting way to spend my time in NYC. I had the chance to experience many different areas of the city, and meet people from all over the world.

But to prepare for my upcoming move to Tanzania, the winds will bring me home to Connecticut to spend my last few months eating delicious mom-made food, running in some half-marathons, spending weekends crashing in my former apartment, and figuring out which t-shirts will make the cut when it's time to start packing!
